Kim Norton is the owner/director of Imagine Dance Studio. Kim is a 2002 graduate of Campbell County High School and has been dancing since the age of 4. She began dancing in her hometown of Jacksboro, and later danced in Knoxville, where her love for dance grew stronger. After graduation she moved to Memphis where she continued her dance education and her achievements led her to a full scholarship to the Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles, California. While in California, she had the privilege of learning under famous dancers and choreographers such as Shane Sparks, Anthony Johnson, and Melissa Miles, some who have been regular choreographers on the famous TV Shows like "So You Think You Can Dance."
Since Imagine Dance Studio opened its doors, her students have had the opportunity to perform at the 2010 Outback Bowl and have performed on Royal Caribbean's Cruise Lines. They have competed in several regional and national competitions where they have received awards in high gold and platinum levels. Many overall awards have been earned by dancers as well as awards in choreography, costume and performance. They have attended conventions where they have taken classes from Master Teachers like Dave Scott, Chris Judd, Gil Duldalao, Desmond Richardson, Wade Robson, Mia Michaels, Tyce Diorio, Joe Tremaine, and so, so many more.
Kim's love for dance is inspiring and passionate. She has always IMAGINED having a studio and sharing her passion with others. Her dream brought her back to her hometown, where her life as a dancer began. She hopes that IMAGINE DANCE STUDIO will pave the way for others to follow their dreams.
